Further down the Promenade from the Alpha Quadrant Diplomatic Summit, Jila wanders amongst the storefronts. A select few are open for business, but there are still many empty shops waiting for tenants.
She buys a jumja stick from a vendor, and while enjoying its sticky sweetness, wanders over to a large empty storefront, doors closed. It's at a convenient location... near turbolifts, docking bays & the temple, with easy access to command, the infirmary, pleasure gardens, and bath house. In fact, the location is too convenient. Why has no one rented it out yet?
She puts her hand on a panel near the storefront entrance & requests data on the property.
Good size... plenty of room for a kitchen as well as seating for many patrons. Room to grow, even. Outfitted with basic power and data access, fine, fine. Zoned for multi-use, including food service, wonderful.
Jila sighs impatiently, waiting for the computer to get to the price.
And then it does.
Oof. Jila understands why this perfect shop is empty. The rent is QUITE high. One might even say exorbitant. Large size & prime location comes with quite a cost. Still, it's not more than she can afford, what with the money she received from selling her house, not to mention all her savings. And there's rumor of the Cardassian government reimbursing people for their losses during the war, but she's sure that's just a rumor. Still, if it does come through, that would be a quite reasonable sum, seeing as CH'NOPS was the rising star in Cardassian culinary society at the time it was destroyed.
She waits for the computer to tell her who to speak to about renting the shop. At very least, she'd like to take a look around the space.
